Biomedical Electronics Lab Applications
In the Biomedical Electronics Lab, we apply our technologies to a range of biomedical problems. Our current applications are divided across three areas: molecular imaging, medical diagnostics, and medical implants. Our work in both molecular imaging and medical diagnostics utilizes a molecular probe and an imager. We have collaborated with the Center for Molecular Imaging Research at Massachusetts General Hospital to develop imagers for their injectible probes. We are applying many of the same technologies to developing medical diagnostics to be used with biological samples. Our work on medical implants has focused on cochlear implants, devices that give hearing to the deaf.
